Mission Statement
The St. Jude Council of Catholic Women is dedicated to Our Lady of Good Counsel, Patroness of the National Council of Catholic Women. Under her guidance we are dedicated to support, empower and educate women in spirituality, leadership and service.

Hello Women of Our Parish Community!

All women of the parish are invited to St. Jude’s CCW!  We gather to pray, to make new friends and to especially be of service to our parish community. Our meetings are normally held on the first Thursday of the month from September through May. Come and find out what we are all about and have fun doing it! Please check the Sunday Bulletin for any upcoming special dates and events.

When our Council meets, we turn to Mary invoking her intercession with the following prayer.

Prayer to Our Lady of Good Counsel

God of heavenly wisdom, you have given to us Mary Mother of Jesus to be our guide and counselor. Grant that we may always seek her motherly help in this life and so enjoy her blessed presence               in the life to come.
O Mother of Good Counsel, Patroness of the National Council of Catholic Women, intercede for us that we may be wise, courageous, and loving leaders of the Church.
Help us, dear Mother to know the mind of Jesus, your son.

May the Holy Spirit fill us with reverence for God’s creation and compassion for all God’s children.
May our labors of love on earth enhance the reign of God and may God’s gifts of faith and living hope prepare us for the fullness of the world to come. Amen.

2026 Woman of the Year

Barbara Kinsey has been named St. Jude CCW Woman of the Year for 2026!

Barbara has been a St. Jude parishioner since 2012, when she moved here from Long Island to be near family. She had recently retired from a rewarding career as a pediatric nurse practitioner, treating children with developmental disabilities. She was also active in her parish as a Eucharistic Minister and Religious Ed teacher.
Once settled here, Barbara did volunteer work in the schools and provided "meals on wheels" to seniors. Her neighbor invited her to join CCW and Senior Social, where she has held positions on both boards. She also prepared CCW announcements for the parish bulletin and keeps the CCW scrapbook.
Barbara has enjoyed Bible Study, Tuesday Rosary, and many of the social and spiritual activities that St. Jude provides. What she enjoys most is time with her 14 grandchildren, her husband, Jim, and her cat, Joy. Thank you once again for your friendship, prayers, caring, and support!
Sincerely, Barbara
