The Athletic program at St. Jude School was established to provide a balance in our students' total educational experience. Athletics can provide life experiences that range from social interaction skills to moral character development. Our program is intended to instill in its participants the values of good sportsmanship, honesty, self-discipline, self-esteem, school spirit and above all, the exercise of Christian values in competitive life situations. In addition, the program will encourage the further development of physical fitness that is necessary to maintain a healthy life.

All students who maintain the academic standards as prescribed by school policy are eligible to participate. All coaches are parent volunteers whose time and commitment is to be respected and appreciated. These volunteers attend training sessions prior to their coaching season. These sessions are designed to reinforce the philosophy of the St. Jude Athletic Department.

St. Jude Athletic Programs
Volleyball:  Boys & Girls 5-8th Grade
Basketball: Boys & Girls 5th-8th Grade
Cross Country:  Boys & Girls 5-8th Grade

At the 5th & 6th grade level, our programs emphasize fundamentals and rules are emphasized. Athletes compete in the Tri-County Catholic Conference.

One of the requirements at St. Jude School, is that you turn in a background check form.  In addition to this, you will also have to attend a Protecting God's Children class. This is the same class that many are taking to work the lunchroom and any other volunteer work involving our students. You will not be able to coach or fulfill your worker's commitment without this class.

Please Contact the Athletic Director, Rachael Gerlock, or call the School Office to find out more about coaching opportunities and requirements.
