National Vocation Awareness Week

National Vocations Awareness Week (November 5-11) is an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promote vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and consecrated life through prayer and educations, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations.

Opportunity to Pray for Vocations

The Vocation Committee of Saint Jude has organized a day of Eucharistic Adoration for Thursday, November 9th from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm.

We invite all parishioners to come and spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament to pray for vocation.  Jesus is waiting for us to come before Him will all that is in our hearts. He is truly present in the Eucharist.

This is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a parish and storm Heaven with confidence to send us more religious vocations.

We would like to have two people, or more, in silent Adoration at all times between the hours of 10:30 am and 4:00 pm on November 9th. Silent Adoration will be followed by the weekly Children's Holy Hour from 4-5 pm. Please fill out the following form and select one or more time slots for which you commit to being present in church.

Thank you so much for joining us in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.

Prayer for Vocations

Loving God, your Word finds a home in our hearts.  In the name of Jesus, we ask you to send your Spirit to us.

Inspire men and women among us, young and old, to respond to your call to service and leadership in the Church.  Give courage and guidance to those you call to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life and lay ministry.

We thank you, Lord, for those who have answered this call and pray that many more will choose to respond.

In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Please personally encourage young people to consider a vocation to the priesthood or consecrated life.
