Date: Wednesday, June 28 (departure is approximately 12 pm) until Sunday, July 2nd (arrival is approximately 7 pm)

Oak Street Louisville, KY 40210 www.crossroadsministryretreats.org (approximately 4.5 hours from New Lenox) **We will also spend time at Plowshares Farm Center 12704 Campbellsville Road Buffalo, KY www.plowsharesfarmcenter.com **We will also visit The Abbey of Gethsemani 3642 Monks Road in Trappist, KY www.monks.orgAge: This trip is open to incoming 8th graders, all high school teens, college leaders, and adult chaperones. (Anyone 18 or older must go through Protecting God’s Children to participate.)
Cost: $255 covers all meals, transportation, and lodging for teen and adult participants
Description of the service: At CrossRoads, we will visit a variety of Louisville social service agencies to visit with the clients they serve while learning about social justice issues with discussion and prayer experiences. At Plowshares Farm, we will work, reflect, and enjoy God’s creation on the farm. At the Abbey of Gethsemani, we will have a tour and enjoy some unstructured fellowship.
Transportation: We will have 3 personal vehicles that will caravan to and from Louisville. Adults are asked to share the driving with 2 hour shifts (must be 25, licensed, and insured to drive); driving is not required.
What to bring: Participants are asked to pack light: comfortable clothes, modest pajamas, toiletries, towel, sleeping bag and pillow, walking shoes, hat, clothes that can get dirty (on the farm), Bible, water bottle, etc.
Essential Meeting: All adult and teen participants are asked to attend on Wednesday, May 17th 7:00-8:30 pm in rooms 3 & 4. (Parents are welcome as well.)
Fundraising Expectation & Opportunities: All adult and teen participants are asked to:
★Encourage your family and friends to support the Lenten Project: Works of Mercy.
★Help sell tickets and serve at a Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, February 4th at St. Jude.
★Bake and help sell items at a Bake Sale at one or more Friday night St. Jude Fish Fries (during Lent).
★Dates and details for a car wash fundraiser have yet to be determined.
★ Send a letter for prayer support to your friends and family. Sample letters will be providedand asking for financial support in the letter is totally optional. (As missionaries, we set out to do God’s work by serving the physical needs of the community with the strength of the Holy Spirit. Asking for prayer support will deepen the impact of our efforts in immeasurable ways.)

2. Print out, fill out, and turn in the permission forms
3. Turn in forms and the $100 deposit to the Parish Office by January 24th.
