Saturday, November 03, 2018, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Saturday, November 3rd 7:00 am- 3:00 pm at the Mission of Our Lady of the Angels (3808 W Iowa St in Chicago)
At this service-based retreat, teens will step outside of their “comfort zone” to meet the neighbors of the Mission Of Our Lady of Angels in Chicago. Dress for the weather because in the morning, we will be outside unpacking and offering food from the Greater Chicago Food Depository Truck—STAYING INSIDE THE MOLA PARKING LOT—to people who struggle to afford groceries. In the afternoon, we will have lunch, peaceful adoration prayer with the sisters, & discussion about how Confirmation can “springboard” us into an attitude of service everyday.
Location & Transportation:
Drop off & pick up is at St. Jude in Franciscan Hall. We will take personal vehicles to the mission.
What to bring & wear:
Bring a water bottle labeled with your name. Wear warm clothes and close-toed athletic shoes. Since we will be outside much of the morning, please dress for the weather.
(Limited to 40 participants; includes dinner and the 6:30 pm Mass at St. Jude. Parents that have completed PGC are needed to help car-pool to and from Frankfort.)
