And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant of my blood which will be shed for you.'"

Eucharist is the sacrament of initiation that invites us to receive Christ's Body and Blood. It is Christ's special gift of Himself and it is the heart of Catholic Christian identity.

We Invite All To Come Forward

We invite all persons present at Mass to come forward at Communion time.  Young children and adults who do not receive Communion are invited to come forward for a blessing from the Priest or Eucharistic Minister.  As an indication that you wish a blessing, we ask that you cross your arms over your chest; if necessary, ask for a blessing.  Our coming forward at Communion is an expression of our belief in what Jesus did at the Last Supper, and in the unity of all people.  We are all invited to the table even when we cannot fully participate.
