Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Children’s Liturgy of the Word takes place during the 9 am and 11 am Masses on the First and Third Sundays of the month from October through May.
After the Gathering Rite children ages 5-8 are invited to Franciscan Hall where they proclaim, celebrate and reflect on God’s Word led by a Priest, a Deacon, Sister Sharon Stola, or a Parish Minister of the Word. Children’s readings are taken from the Lectionary for Masses with Children. The children will then hear a homily designed to be meaningful for children. They return to the faith community for the Liturgy of the Eucharist and the Concluding Rites.
Adults are welcome to become ministers any time. We provide preparation and materials.
